I blame Facebook for our radio silence… I mean who’d on Earth would want to read a blog these days? When things like Facebook and Twitter is where all the cool kids hang out, right? Well, maybe I’m not such a cool kid after all.

What have we been up to since our last update? Lucy’s pregnancy is going well, less than 1-month to go now (due 9th January)! We’re crossing our fingers that the baby doesn’t come early – we’ve mentally prepared ourselves for a New Year, New Baby!

Katelyn is growing up so fast! Over the last few months she’s been keen to enforce her independence; “No Daddy! I can do it!” to various things like climbing into her car-seat or pouring her juice.

We recently found a jigsaw from our travels around Australia. Katelyn wanted to play with it … 10 minutes later, she was reciting the states; very impressive!

A big thing that Katelyn enjoys is her bedtime stories! Particularly The Gruffalo or any of the Miffy books! We’ve lost count how may times the ‘little brown mouse’ has outwitted the Gruffalo!

In other news, I’ve been relegated from working in the house – due to imminent arrival – into our new office/garage conversion! Its been quite a smooth transition, albeit quite a cold one! Thermals and fingerless gloves are part of my uniform now!

During November I took part in Movember! When I grew a moustache to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Photos, comments and other shenanigans can be seen over on my Movember profile page.

We decided to stay at home during Christmas, especially with the baby due so soon! So if we don’t get to see/speak to you over the festive season… Merry Christmas and all that jazz!

Well, pretty much nearly 3 years ago (to the day), we announced that we “We’re having a Baby!“  Now we have the pleasure of announcing baby number #2!

Actually we announced this on Facebook a few weeks ago… even then, most people already knew! So if this is the first you’ve heard about it – well, um, guess what? We’re having another Baby!

Bump #2 is due 9th January 2011 – which has made one of our friends, Nell, very excited – as that’s her birthday! No pressure on Lucy then?

Earlier this week, Katelyn’s Great-Granny, Damaris, passed away – 2 days after her 90th birthday.

Katelyn enjoyed visiting her and we will all miss her dearly.

Rest in peace Damaris.

A few weeks ago, we got a flyer through the door for a local weekly circuit training session.  Lucy said we should go, to which I replied the usual, “yeah, yeah” … and what happened? Last Wednesday, Lucy dragged me along to circuit training!

Given that I haven’t done any exercise since, well, since forever… lets just say that my joints are still aching! (Lucy is sore too, not as bad as me though … more sympathy please.)

We’re put our names down for next week’s session. Let us see if this will be a regular thing?

We can’t believe it’s been over 6 months since we last updated the site! Apologies to family & friends who have missed our postings. I’m trying to persuade Lucy to update it too. (Wish me luck!)

We’ve got a backlog of photos and videos from over Christmas and Katelyn’s 2nd Birthday… we’ll get around to posting these very soon!

Earlier last month, Lucy asked me if I’d ever been to Wells. I hadn’t, nor did I know much about Wells, (other than Hot Fuzz was filmed there) – so we said “Let’s Go!”.

Lucy made up a picnic, we loaded the car and headed down to Wells.  The weather was nice and sunny, great for the picnic and scenery was amazing! Katelyn enjoyed playing at the park.

Wells is a beautiful city, I never imagined how impressive the cathedral would be! A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
