Merry Christmas It’s been a while since our last post. As usual, we’ve had lots on, but never enough time (or make enough time) to tell you about it (whoever still reads this).

Katelyn is coming on loads, each week she develops something new. She’s been trying to crawl, but seems far more interested in standing up and trying to walk (with assistance from us or the coffee table, or anything about half-a-metre high!)

first tooth A couple of weeks ago, Katelyn’s first tooth started to come through. Our lovely full-night sleeps were disrupted once more! But we shouldn’t complain, as we’ve heard that we’ve got it easy. The end of breast-feeding is imminent! (ouch)

IMG_2164 After weeks of persuasion, Lucy convinced me that it was a good idea to get a real Christmas tree. Of course I was thinking about the environment… the thought of millions of pine needles on the carpet never entered my mind! ;-) The agreement was that Lucy would be responsible for hovering up the pine needles.

We are celebrating Christmas at the Farm with Lucy’s family. Then we’re up to Liverpool on Boxing Day to catch-up with my family, (and debate sleeping arrangements). We’ll be heading back home at New Year. (Please don’t burgle our house whilst we’re away, all you’ll find is dirty bibs & nappies anyway)

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and New Year for 2009, lots of love (and hugs) from Lee, Lucy and Katelyn xxx

We bought a new (small) video camera a couple of weeks ago. (For those who are interested, it’s a Flip Video Ultra – it’s compact and has a funky flip-out USB built-in; so we can upload videos from anywhere.)

Katelyn seems to be progressing quickly at the moment… from her gibber-gabber to dancing in her bouncer and even starting to get more mobile (rolling around on her play-mat). We’re dreading her starting to crawl! ;-) We’ve uploaded a selection of video clips, you can either watch them here (or on our YouTube page).

Hope you enjoy the video clips.

We have had a very busy 6 months. But it’s been amazing.
Katelyn settled into life at home after keeping Nana Tyrer up all night the first night home.
She found an infectious smile very early and later an infectious giggle.

yey

We had a lovely day on 6th July for her Christening. Thanks to everyone who joined us and for all Katelyn’s beautiful presents. A special Thank-you to Emily and Steve for letting us have the party at theirs.

Lucy and Katelyn

One of Katelyn’s favourite pastimes is snuggling up with her Daddy and having a sleep. Lee is very good and often puts himself out for his little girl.

She takes after her Mummy and loves her food. We started her on solids about 4 weeks ago and she has loved every new taste. I can’t get the spoon loaded quickly enough.

Lee and I are making the most of the time before Katelyn starts crawling, though we know it wont be long. She can roll on to her tummy and wriggles round in a circle but still stays where we put her!!!

There are lots more photos of Katelyn in the photos section. Take a look if you have the time!!!!

We look forward to the next 6 months and all it brings.

Yesterday there was an attempted hack on our website. We managed to sort it out before any damage was done, but it was a close call!

If you notice anything suspect with the website, (like strange dodgy links to porno sites), then let us know straight away.

I’ve written more about it on my other blog.

It’s Katelyn’s christening on Sunday 6th July. For all family and friends who are coming across, here’s a detailed map of the Claverham area.

St. Dunstan’s Church (the white cross on the map) is on Claverham Road opposite a clearing which has security fencing at the front. Park in-front of the fencing then cross over the road and go through the a small gate way to the entrance of the small wooden church.

For those who don’t know the area Claverham Road goes from the A370 at Cleeve to the B3133 at Yatton. Any problems, call us for directions.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and are hoping for sunshine.

Real Cat with Cat Statue I received an email this morning asking if I would like one of our photographs to be used on a Wikipedia article.

Being a frequent reader of Wikipedia, I’m more than happy for them to use one of our photos.

So with a quick change of the Creative Commons license (to Attribution-ShareAlike), our photo is now on the Singapura (cat) article.
